dc.description.abstractThe current study aimed to find out the extent to which there is a relationship between the perception of psychological disorder and the cultural background, and attempts to reveal the most frequently used perception among the sample members. Our study also sought to find statistically significant differences in the level of perception of psychological disorder in light of some variables (sex, academic level and specialization), And also trying to find statistically significant differences in the cultural background according to the same variables.For this we designated a study sample of (200) students enrolled at the university (Belhadj Bouchaïb) Ain Temouchent (Algeria) selected in a systematic random fashion. We used the Cultural Context Scale and the Psychological Disorder Visualization Scale of Sidi Abed Abdelkader (2017) and recalculated their psychometric properties. After the statistical treatment, the results showed that there was a statistically significant relationship between the imaginary psychological disorder and the cultural background among the university students of L1 and M1; and no statistically significant differences in the visualization of psychological disorder compared to sex, university specialty (Letters and Sciences and Social Sciences, Economic, commercial and management sciences, Sciences and technologies, Law), level of training (1st year License and 1st year master). The results also demonstrated a relationship between the visualization of the psychological disorder and the cultural context according to the variable of sex, specialty and level of training. therefore these results have been discussed in the light of previous studies and theoretical literature.en_US
