Schiff bases are an important class of ligands that help elucidate the mechanisms of various reactions in biological and chemical systems due to the presence of an imine group in their structures. Schiff bases have an important role in coordination chemistry as they have a great ability to complex metal ions which have various applications in chemical, biological, medical and industrial fields. We are interested in: The synthesis of new series of stable complexes with transition metal ions of diversified structures starting with substituted aromatic Schiff bases. Discover a multitude of applications with a single molecule. For example, certain complexes can have both biological properties: antifungal power and used as a corrosion agent.en_US
