Abstract: Plants have always been part of the human environment. they were first known for their nutritional properties and then for their therapeutic properties. One of the main characteristics of medicinal plants is the wide variety of uses that can be made of them to take care of their health. By their effectiveness and their basic action, herbal medicine helps meet the main current health needs and acts without attacking the body, with the greatest respect for the body. We have therefore chosen the medicinal plant "Pistacia lentiscus" whose work focuses on the phytochemical study and the antioxidant activities of this plant. The phytochemical screening shows the presence of tannins and terpenoids and a small amount of sterol, Flavonoids, free quinones. We chose the anti-free radical test method (DPPH) to study the anti-oxidant activity of this plant, the tests that we have done show that all the extracts (aqueous IC50 = 0.8731mg / l), (methanolic IC50 = 0.8315 mg / l ), (ethanolic IC50 = 0.634 mg / ml), (acetone IC50 = 1.2209 mg / l), (petroleum ether IC50 = 0.9032 mg / l), (dicloromethane IC50 = 2.2114 mg / l) of the medicinal plant studied contain variable and significant antioxidant activities. In conclusion, we will say that the results obtained revealed that the extracts of the leaves of the plant of Pistcia lentiscus have an important antioxidant activity which varies according to the extraction solvent and the concentration
