Fusariosis is one of the most common reported diseases in chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.), variety Flip, caused by the pathogen f.sp ciceri Fusarium oxysporum, which is propagated mainly in the western regions of Algeria. This disease is regarded as an handicap to the development of spring chickpea sowing and therefore is a brake on improving yields. Our present study was carried out on the basis of surveys of 05 farms for chickpea cultivation including three farms in Hammam Bouhadjar and twoo farms in Sidi Boumedien and El Hadjarria, in order to deepen knowledge on the diagnosis and macroscopic and microscopic identification of the causative agent of this disease. Moreover, our objective is to learn about the control methods used by chickpea producers through a field survey. The Results revealed the differences in the cultural and morphological characteristics of the isolates in terms of mycelium growth and sporulation in potato dextrose agar (PDA). The results of the survey conducted among the producers of the study area as well as the members of the interprofessional council of the leguminous sector of the Wilaya "CWIF" showed that 50% of the producers opt for the strategy of cultural or agronomic fight against the disease of fusariosis like the cultural rotation and contrary to the use of the chemical fight. It is noted that the majority of the producers confuse fusariosis disease with other cryptogamic diseases because of the similarity of symptoms on the organs of the crop (discoloration of the leaves, presence of spots, lesions)en_US
