Ad-hoc vehicle networks (VANETs) are undergoing a significant transformation with the advent of the Internet of Things (IoT) and the consecration of the Internet of Vehicles (IoV) which is also synonymous with the development of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS). This is a significant contribution for use contexts such as safety, transport efficiency, traffic management and comfort. As part of preventing and reducing accidents on the national highway system, it is imperative to shift to more efficient and “intelligent” vehicle traffic. It is within this framework that our approach of contribution to the modeling and simulation of a VANET network according to three mobility environments (urban, semi-urban and highway) and based on realistic conditions of mode of communication (V2V) and transmission technology (IEEE 802.11p or WAVE), for example. The procedure is based on the determination of a deployment area and its final exploitation under SUMO simulator, then configuration and execution by frameworks such as Veins under OMNet++, in connection with SUMO.en_US
