This work was carried out at the level of the forest of Sassel, wilaya of Ain Temouchent. Our region is characterized by its great ecosystem diversity The plant Daphne gniduim L, belongs to the family of Thymeleaceae classified among the medicinal plants identified with the populations and benefiting from good therapeutic celebrity. in general, it is located in western Algeria and develops in the mountains, the forests and on the high plateaus. The aim of the work is to determine the physico-chemical properties of the soils of the species Daphne gniduim L, and to highlight the soil-vegetation relationship. The results of these analyzes showed that the species Daphne gnidium L. develops on soils with a loamy and silty-clay texture, these soils have a low calcareous soil content, the soils are unsalted with a pH close to neutrality. The ACP allowed us to identify and accentuate the soil conditions that reinforce the existence and development of the species.en_US
