Many electrical devices (microcomputers, household appliances, etc.) require a continuous power supply in their control electronics. This type of non-linear (or polluting) loads impose the absorption of a non-sinusoidal current from the AC network, therefore rich in harmonics which leads to a local distortion of the voltage of the AC network through the line impedances, an increase in line losses, the high consumption of reactive power leads to a bad power factor. There are several solutions to limit the propagation and the effect of harmonic currents in electrical networks. Among these, the use of sinusoidal current absorption devices such as the active and passive PFC converter (Power Factor Correction). The objective of this thesis is the study and simulation of a PFC power supply with hysteresis control which consists in comparing the error signal, produced following the first comparison between the reference current and the real current, the main advantages of this technique are very great simplicity, ease of implementation, robustness and speed, and it also leads to improvements made in the quality of the waveforms of the controlled currents. The performance of the law of this control is verified by simulation using Matlab / Simulink softwareen_US
