The geographic data for Google earth are the most used in the construction projects in our country (especially in the start-up phase). However, the accuracy of these data remains a point of discussion and there is no quality indicator. This topic is especially focused on the technique of obtaining altitude data (satellite radar). As well as the case study in several locations in western Algeria to determine the quality and accuracy published. Our results from our tests confirmed that the SRTM quality varies from one location to another depending on the morphology, nature of the terrain (slope / mile) and soil quality.en_US
