dc.description.abstractMore than 35,106 m3 of silt is currently at the bottom of the retention of Bouhanifia dam with an initial capacity of 73,106 m3. To extend the " life" of this work , dredging the reservoir has become an indispensable solution. Despite the periodic discharge of sediment by the discharge sluices , siltation of the reservoir increases from one year to another. The vase rejected poses enormous problems downstream of the dam and in particular in the area of Wadi El Hammam . Our study is based on physical, chemical and mineralogical analyzes of mud taken from the dam Bouhanifia . The results verify the good standards of clay used for making brick.en_US
