Abstract: This summary has two objectives. The main objective is to model the vibratory motion of the flexible and rigid rotor using the finite element method. The second objective is to increase the critical speed margin. For that, one plays on various parameters such as the material of the rotor, of the shaft, the disk, and on the stiffness and the coefficients of damping of the bearings. The results showed that the material does not influence the critical speed margin, while stiffness and damping coefficients can increase the critical speed margin.
