dc.description.abstract | Day by day, the cases of obesity are increasing, which is one of the most widespread health problems in the world, and one of the most important factors that cause it is stress and lack of movement. . The World Health Organization defines obesity as an excessive increase in fat accumulation in the body that poses a health risk to the body. Anyone with a BMI over 25 is considered obese according to the agreed criteria for measuring obesity. A person who weighs 45 kilograms more than normal (if a BMI greater than 40) is considered obese. Obesity is the main health problem and the greatest risk of causing other health problems and diseases, including high blood pressure, shortness of breath, joint pain, weakness, diabetes, anxiety disorders and heart attacks, with the possibility of serious problems in the organs associated with obesity in the advanced stages of the disease. Therefore, obese people are forced to diet to lose weight and often get tired of it, so they turn to nutritional supplements, thinking that they will bring a quick result without deprivation, because nutritional supplements for some people are considered an insurance policy. Against an imperfect diet, while others may take it because they cannot or do not want to eat certain foods. Whatever the reasons, taking vitamin and mineral supplements can seem like a great shortcut to a healthy life. But in recent years, serious doubts have been cast as to whether these nutritional supplements are actually good for us. | en_US |
