The biosynthesis process for the production of nanoparticles is considered to be a sustainable, environ- mentally friendly, toxin-free and biocompatible process. This can be synthesized using plant extracts as reducing and stabilizing agents and this is acceptable in the field. The aqueous extract of lavandula dentata was used to form silver nanoparticles. These particles are devoted to various spectroscopic studies such as FTIR, UV-vis, SEM and DRX, and evaluated in vitro their antimicrobial effect by the solid medium well diffusion method. The synthesized silver nanoparticles have been shown to have a very effective bactericidal effect against all three types of bacteria (Escherichia coli, pseudomonas aerginos, Staphylococcus aureus). The sum of the results obtained during this study clearly shows that silver nanoparticles have significant potential for the biological activi- ties investigated. As a result, the bio-ingredients present in the plantextract were effective for the synthesis of Ag nanoparticles with a biological efficiency which offers the possibility of incorporating it into the composition of food and pharmaceutical productsen_US
