The question of the conservation of this old built heritage is problematic in itself. What strategies should be adopted to safeguard this legacy? In order to give a plausible and scientific answer to our questioning, a historical retrospective identifying the built heritage in Algeria is essential by supporting its heritage, its design and its components. As a field of investigation, our choice fell on a century-old building located in Béni-Saf, abandoned for several years and currently housing the office of the Mayor of the city after maintenance operations. To support our research, we proceeded to the analysis of this construction by dissecting its components, its style, the techniques and the materials of constructions used for its realization as well as the various stages of maintenance which it underwent recently.en_US
