Abstract: The electrostatic separator or moving wave conveyor has had several different names, called electric curtain, electric curtain effect, of which there are a multitude of electrostatic separator installations that handle different types of finer size material mixture. We have presented all the steps and descriptions that we could follow to carry out a successful simulation with Flux 2D software. The results of simulations of our geometric model in 2D form, showed us how the equipotential lines are distributed around the geometry of which we found an edge effect in the two ends of the separator. It was also noticed that the electric potential remains constant at the top of the upper electrodes and takes a value of 2kV. The simulation also proved to us that the electric field is intense on the tips of the electrodes. The results in 2D form are largely different, more precise, more exact than that of the axisymmetric form.
