Abstract: The aim of this study was to evaluate the activity of essential oils extracted from the aerial parts of Thymus capitatus and Eucalyptus globulus ,they are two of the medicinal plants used in traditional medicines in Algeria.The antiosidant activity was evaluated using the essentieal oeil were extracted by stream distillation byusing the clevenger device ,the yeild of Thymus Capitatuse and Eucalyptuse globuluse was 3,2% and 0,48% respectively .There essential oils showed a great ability to confront.The antifungal effect of the two extracts was also evaluated by disseminating them in petri can in a solid food medium the experiment was conclutted on two strains of fungi .The results showes that both extracts has a significant antifungal effect .the two tested strains ,were classified in sensitivity and were less sensitive to pénecelium Italicum relative to the essentiel oil of Eucalyptus globulus and pénicillium Italicum sensitive to Thymus capitatus and Condida Albican les sensitive to both essential oils.The confirms that both oils have a level of toxicity un high doses as an extract for this stady the essential oils of thoth Thymus capitatus and Eucalyptus globulus are excellent in aller aspects of antioxidant activity and have an acceptable antifungal effect
