dc.description.abstractThis study aimed to identify the level of professional burnout and its relationship with stress coping strategies among physicians at Dr Benzerdjeb Hospital and Ahmed Medghari Hospital in Ain Temouchent. The descriptive approach was chosen because of its adequacy to the nature of the subject. A sample of 86 doctors employed by the two hospitals, Dr. Benzerdjeb and Ahmed Madghri, in Ain Temouchent were designated by the simple random method. We relied on two scales, namely the Maslash scale to measure the level of burnout, and the stress coping strategies scale, as data collection tools. To test the study hypotheses, we used the statistical software package for the social sciences(SPSS version 24). The results of the study led to the following results: • Doctors at the two hospitals, Dr. Benzerdjeb and Ahmed Madghri, in Ain Temouchent, use the following coping strategies: focus on the problem, emotion, avoidance, entertainment and social support, respectively, as strategies for coping with psychological stress. • The doctors of the two hospitals, Dr Benzerdjeb and Ahmed Madghri, in Ain Temouchent, suffer from a high level of burnout. • There is a statistically significant correlation relationship between stress coping strategies and psychological exhaustion among doctors at the two hospitals, Dr. Benzerdjeb and Ahmed Madghri, in Ain Temouchent • There are no statistically significant differences in terms of coping strategies to stress between the doctors working in the two hospitals, Dr Benzerdjeb and Ahmed Madghri in Ain Temouchent, according to the sex variable. • There are no statistically significant differences in terms of burnout among the doctors practicing in the two hospitals, Dr Benzerdjeb and Ahmed Madghri in Ain Temouchent, according to the gender variable. • There are no statistically significant differences in terms of coping strategies adopted by doctors working in the two hospitals, Dr. Benzerdjeb and Ahmed Madghari in Ain Temouchent, according to the professional experience variable. There are no statistically significant differences in terms of burnout between the doctors practicing in the two hospitals Dr Benzerdjeb and Ahmed Madghri in Ain Temouchent, according to the professional experience variable These results were discussed in light of the theoretical literature and previous studies.en_US
