dc.description.abstractIn this works, we are interesting by studying the inhibitor effect of povidone iodine PVPI on the corrosion of carbon steel XC38 in chlorhydric acid HCl (1 M). The results got by the weight loss method, show an interesting protective effect of the inhibitor product, despite the aggressiveness of the corrosive environment. The thermodynamic study has shown that the inhibition process obeys the isothermal of Langmuir with a mixt adsorption (physical adsorption and chemical adsorption).en_US
