The maritime transport contract for goods is one of the most important contracts in maritime trade, concluded between the carrier and the shipper. This agreement is documented by a document known as the "Bill of Lading." This document is issued both in traditional and electronic form. It distinguishes itself from other maritime documents and serves multiple functions. It includes essential and secondary data, which the shipper is obliged to declare to the carrier. The carrier has full authority to include reservations on the bill of lading, with the possibility of issuing a clean bill of lading in exchange for a letter of guaranteeen_US
