dc.description.abstract | In this research, we aim to study the role of the agricultural sector in achieving food security by studying the case of the wilaya of Ain Temouchent between 2015 and 2022. Using the descriptive and analytical approach, the results show that the general indicator of food security in Algeria has improved in recent years. The index rose from 59.8 percent in 2019 to 63.9 percent in 2021. And so we accept the premise of the first. An indicator of the ratio of meeting needs for agricultural products in Ain Temouchent State by comparing world rations per capita during 2018 showed that the rates of self-sufficiency in the people (grains, dry legumes, fruits, other legumes, olive oil, white meat, milk) exceeded 100%, meaning food security for the inhabitants of the state except in the people (potatoes, meat). The third hypothesis is therefore accepted, but agricultural production defines fluctuation and instability based on the development of agricultural production during 2015 and 2022, thus rejecting the second hypothesis | en_US |
