Abstract

This study addresses ""The effectiveness of the therapeutic program based on play in alleviating learning difficulties among students with hyperactivity and attention deficit."" The study aims to measure the extent of the program's impact on improving the performance of children who suffer from learning difficulties associated with hyperactivity and attention deficit at the primary education stage. To achieve this goal, a special therapeutic program was designed for this group of children, in which therapeutic methods were applied aiming to develop their educational skills and reduce the impact of these difficulties on their academic achievement. The study relied on the clinical method and the quasi- experimental method. A pre-measurement scale for learning difficulties was used, developed by the researcher Asmaa Ahmed Mohamed Abdel Aalam, with the aim of diagnosing and identifying the types of academic difficulties among the pupils. The Conners' Rating Scale was also used to assess the behavior of the children in the sample. The sample included male and female pupils in the third grade of primary school, aged around 8 years old, and they were from Bouchikhi Kouider School in Ain Temouchent. After applying the therapeutic program based on play, a post-measurement was conducted using the same two scales in order to measure the effectiveness of the treatment.
