Abstract

This study aimed to shed light on the reality of fintech companies and their contribution to economic activity in Saudi Arabia during the period (2022-2023). We divided the study into two chapters: one theoretical, highlighting the fundamentals of fintech and economic activity, in addition to presenting and discussing previous studies related to the topic. The second chapter is applied, explaining the Saudi government's strategies regarding fintech and analyzing the reality of fintech. We conclude this chapter with the extent of fintech's contribution to economic activity. Through this study, we concluded that the government has contributed to numerous initiatives supporting fintech companies under the supervision of the Central Bank, the Capital Market Authority, and FinTech Saudi Arabia, which have begun to bear fruit. This has positively impacted the growth of these companies during the period under study and the emergence of new fields, enabling them to contribute to the Saudi economy.
