أثر التنويع الاقتصادي على النمو الاقتصادي في الجزائر - دراسة قياسية خلال الفترة (1996-2023)

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of economic diversification on economic growth in Algeria during the period 1996–2023, using the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model. The study found that economic diversification has a positive but statistically insignificant effect on economic growth in Algeria in both the short and long run, Oil revenues and governance have a positive and significant impact on economic growth in the long run, while this relationship becomes insignificant in the short run. The results also showed that the agriculture, industry, and services sectors have statistically insignificant coefficients with unexpected signs. This can be explained by the fact that the oil sector leaves little room for investment in non-oil sectors.
