Abstract
The aim of the study was to determine the impact of managerial leadership on the formation of an
organizational culture in hotel establishments from two main variables: managerial leadership as an independent
variable and organizational culture as a depend
ent variable. In order to achieve the objective of the study and test
the proposed hypotheses, the OCAI organizational culture assessment tool and a survey distributed to a sample of
national hotels were used to measure the orientations of the sample conce
rning the other variables. The data were
processed by the statistical tool SPSS.
The study achieved a number of results, among the most important of them the fact that managers in
Algerian hotel establishments use a mix of leadership modes, thus the
presence of a gap between the current
organizational culture and the desired one. Leadership has a positive role in the formation of an organizational
culture despite the presence of several obstacles that limit this role.

conclusion, the study gave a
set of suggestions on various levels about the adoption of hotel
establishments in Algeria of the concept of modes of leadership as an initiation into the formation of a distinctive
managerial culture
