Abstract
This research work aimed at highlighting the important role of Information and
Communication Technologies in in influencing students’ learning opportunities and gave
insights on EFL students’ attitudes towards the use of ICT in school education. Employing
these technological tools assisted learners in becoming more engaged in the teaching and
learning process and fulfilling their learning needs. Therefore, this work sought to investigate
students’ Digital Literacy skills and the impact ICT implementation on EFL learners at
Belhadj Bouchaib University, Department of Letters and English Language. The case of the
study was Master students and teachers in the Department, the participants were thirty-four
students and four teachers in the English Department who had at least a Master degree in
order to to see the extent to which they used ICTs and whether they had the susceptibility and
technological competencies to integrate it in their classrooms. Additionally, to the main issues
that prevented them from using this teaching strategy were explored. Thus, qualitative and
quantitative methods were administered to confirm the hypotheses according to the
interpreted ICTs in class, then students’ learning skill would be improved. The practical
outcomes of the study offered an analysis of the collected data from the questionnaire and
interview, and suggested some recommendations and a discussion of the main results.
Consequently, the findings of this study showed positive insights about students’ and
teachers’ attitudes towards the use of Technology in the classroom as a practical and
multipurpose tool to mediate and supplement teaching and learning.
