Abstract
This study aimed to reform the international monetary system in the
current Russian-Ukrainian crisis, by relying on a set of inventory flow
consistency models that reached to clarify the imbalances experienced by
the international monetary system in light of the dominance of the US
dollar, which is considered the first and most used currency in trades and
foreign exchange since the 1944 Bretton Woods Agreement.
This study also dealt with the power of Russia in the global SWIFT
system of international exchanges and the extent of the impact of its
separation from it on the global monetary system, as it is the second
country after the United States of America to use the system
